IF YOU MISSED HOMECOMING…

As soon as you entered the drive on Friday, you knew something special was going on. As we kickoff our 50th year celebration!

At 7:30pm the pre-game festivities began with the new Head of School, Mr. Lowrie McCown,  welcoming everyone to Homecoming.

After the welcome, our cheer teams took the field.  First up was the Kitty Kat’s, followed by the Pee-Wee team, Junior Varsity and Varsity teams.  They did a wonderful job of executing their cheers.  The Springwood band performed a great fight song getting us all ready for the game!

Once the coin was tossed, Stephen Grubbs (Class of 2002) offered up a prayer for fans, families and the overall safety of the teams.  To finish the pre-game festivities Kristen Moore (International House parent) sang the National Anthem.

During half time the homecoming court, rode in beautiful sports cars as part of Springwood’s Homecoming tradition.  Once they were presented, the Homecoming Queen was announced!

Congratulations to Andie Martin, our 2019 Homecoming Queen.

Under the Alumni tent there was a 50th Anniversary cake and t-shirts for the first 100 alumni who came by the tent.

Springwood had a wonderful night as the rain held off and we took home the win 59-34 against Lakeside.
